Last week at the opening of the Texas state fair 100 or so lucky but dirty people got to dive into a 14,000 gallon mud pool for the chance to win a 2007 four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, courtesy of Jeep (Daimler-Chrysler). The “Jeep Stick in the Mud” challenge drew over 2,600 entries from around the U.S., of which 120 contestants were randomly selected to dive into the mud. The object of the challenge was to collect as many “sticks” as possible, each worth a certain number of points. The person with the most points one. And that person was Homero Perez of Garland, Texas. Three runners-up were each awarded a “Jeep Adventure Prize Package”.
